I think I might be becoming one of those older people who says whatever they want. I’ve always wondered about those older folks who just let their thoughts rip. It’s like arriving at a stage when tolerance for nonsense, baloney, hogwash, malarkey, poppycock, gibberish, drivel, blarney, codswallop and twaddle are over. Tolerance also seems to top out for crap, trash, bunk, hooey, balderdash, piffle and horsefeathers.  ✨ It’s a refreshing time of life, and amusing, too, even purely as I just think about writing out all those words. Likewise, admittedly its a bit of a disturbing place to have arrived. Well, not too disturbing, because truly stepping into the freedom of delighting in the liberty of detachment of the opinions of others is living in new invigorating territory. ✨ I’m thinking that maybe what happens is that years of living put us more in touch with an innate honesty. The filter clears that separates the signal from the noise. Sorts the gems from the grail. Filters the cream from the milk. Sifts the gold from the sand. Distinguishes the diamonds from the rough. Weeds out the weak from the strong. Extracts the pearls from the oysters. Discerns the wheat from the weeds. And, picks out the prime from the ordinary. ✨None of this implies we get a license to ill. Respectful communication must rule at every age and on every stage. ✨ Freedom of self-expression comes with huge responsibility. And, when we arrive at this point of freer expression, we have to be ready to own not just the freedom but also the responsibility. Just something I’m thinking about… a lot.  What do you think? ✨ Where are you at?
