DIAN GRIESEL, Ph.D., Founder & President

When the stakes are high and the outcome depends as much on perception as on fact, that’s the room I’m built for.
For more than three decades, I’ve been the confidential advisor who individuals, executives, boards, attorneys, and organizations call when a decision can’t be undone and a moment won’t offer a second take. I’m a perception analyst — a communication counselor and crisis PR & IR strategist who helps people see the unseen forces shaping their decisions, relationships, negotiations, reputation, and trust. Because what people believe, assume, fear, or expect tends to matter as much as what is objectively true.
That’s the work: helping a select few private clients, individuals navigating deeply personal matters, and leadership teams think clearly through complexity, conflict, transition, relationships, and high-consequence decisions — as a sounding board, a thought partner, and a strategist who has seen how these stories actually end.
I bring receipts to that table. I’ve been cleared by both the NYSE and NASDAQ to serve as a board member for public companies and to chair multiple committees. Earlier, I founded and led The Investor Relations Group, a global IR and PR firm that advised more than 400 public and private companies; over 18 years I personally managed more than 10,000 investor- and media-facing meetings before selling the firm to an investment bank. Today I do this work through Perception Dynamics™, my strategic consulting, advisory, and public relations firm. I’m also the author of 16 books spanning communication, capital markets, health, leadership, and personal development.
The SilverDisobedience® Perception Dynamics™ Podcast carries the same thinking to a far wider room: 1,000,000+ downloads, listeners in 125 countries, and 94% of that audience in the United States — an engaged, high-intent, predominantly American following around a brand about living and aging on your own terms.
Everything I do circles one question: How do people decide what something means –and how does that interpretation shape what happens next?
I offer complimentary 30 minute calls to discuss your needs and objectives.
