
I think we should refer to age in auto racing terms. Horsepower is the total power output of our engines, while torque measures the “turning or torquing ability” of the engine. Practically, torque is a better measurement of how quickly your car will accelerate, while horsepower (relative to weight) is a better measure of your car’s top speed. At this point in life, I like the idea that “I’m a 500+ horsepower engine that can hit full torque with ease” — or in other words, that I’m more powerful and accelerating in life better than ever! Just a little Silver Disobedience™ philosophy… What do you think?
