Perceptions have always fascinated me.
I’ve spent my lifetime studying how verbal, written and physical communication triggers opinions, actions and responses — in boardrooms, courtrooms, bedrooms and everywhere in between. That fascination became a career, and that career became something harder to define: part strategist, part counselor, part truth-teller.
My formal background is in PR and investor relations. Since 1993, I’ve privately counseled hundreds of individuals; worked with C-suite executives at more than 400 publicly traded companies; participated in over 10,000 investor meetings; navigated media, regulatory bodies — the SEC, FINRA, FDA, FTC, DoD, OSHA and others — countered shareholder activism, addressed social movements, and founded, built and sold two communications companies. I know how high the stakes get. I know what it costs when perception and reality fall out of alignment.
Today, my work has evolved. While I still advise organizations and leadership teams, the most meaningful work I do is one-on-one — with individuals who are navigating something complex, consequential or simply stuck. Executives in transition. Leaders under pressure. People who need someone in their corner who will tell them the truth before they make the next move whether in their personal or professional lives.
What I actually do:
I am a perception analyst, counselor and consulting hypnotherapist. My work lives at the intersection of conscious and unconscious behavior — how you see yourself, how others see you, and the gap between the two that’s quietly costing you. Through conversation, questions and a framework built over three decades, we surface the beliefs, blind spots and communication patterns shaping your outcomes — and then we change them.
My advisory work is always unique to the client. Whether we’re working through a high-stakes negotiation, a reputation issue, a professional crossroads, a relationship dynamic or a leadership challenge — there is no template. There is only your situation, examined honestly and without agenda.
One thing I also offer that few advisors can: connections. If someone in my network can help you accomplish what you’re trying to do, I’ll tell you — and with your permission, I’ll make the introduction.
Why this matters:
We live in a competitive world. Time is the one resource that cannot be recovered. Every conversation, every decision you make with incomplete information, every misaligned perception left unaddressed — these carry a cost. My work is about maximizing your return on time with energy, on relationships and on every interaction that matters.
My clients call me their fiercest ally. Not because I tell them what they want to hear — but because I don’t. I ask the questions that need asking. I address the elephant in the room. And I make sure you have the fullest possible picture — good, bad, neutral or uncomfortable –before you decide anything.
You still make all the decisions. I just make sure you’re making them clearly.
If you believe you — or your team — could be operating at a higher level, call me. The first conversation is complimentary and confidential (NDAs signed upon request.) Tell me what you think the issue is. I’ll tell you honestly whether and how I can help — or if someone else I know is the better fit.
Every conversation is worthwhile, whether we work together or not. That’s not a marketing line. That’s a promise.
I don’t waste my time. I won’t waste yours.
