“Retirement only means that it is time for a new adventure.” Let’s look at some statistics: 50% of the population in the United States as of 2017, is over age 50. About 10,000 reach retirement age every day, although most of us actually plan to work well past age 65. 45% of the Silver Disobedience populations considers themselves entrepreneurial and are considering starting new businesses in their “retirement” while other are opting for travel and other forms of recreation. Then there are those like me who believe they’ve created a balanced life whereby work and a feeling of retirement are already blurred together so not much would change regardless of their age, as long as I keep myself healthy.
